Joan Anita Davis-Williams is a qualified, experienced and outstanding licensed guru, consultant and trainer from Jamaica. She has acquired over 43 years’ experience having worked in various institutions such as:
St. Jago High School, St. Catherine, Jamaica (1976-1980)
Ardenne High School, Kingston, Jamaica (1980-2010)
Ardenne Extension High School, Kingston, Jamaica part-time (1990-2012)
The Mico University College, Kingston, Jamaica (summer 2007-present)
Since 2011 to present, Mrs. Davis-Williams has been at the prestigious King’s House, Jamaica, where she serves as Consultant /Trainer to the staff of Kings House and in 2012 she also served as Deputy Governor-General’s Secretary (Personal).
The foundation to this hardworking and conscientious woman started with her primary education at Prospect Primary, White Marl Primary and St. Jago High School. Her further studies at the esteemed University of Technology, Jamaica (formerly College of Arts Science and Technology), honed her skills with a Diploma in Education in 1976, majoring in Home Economics, and a Bachelor of Education degree in 1985.
In her quest for higher education to further assist in delivering quality customer service to all her stakeholders, Joan went on to acquire a Masters of Education degree in Instructional Technology, (Magna Cum Laude) from American Intercontinental University Online, a certificate in Teaching Children with Different Learning Styles (Bank Street University, New York), a certificate in Counselling Techniques, (University of the West Indies, Mona) and a certified Customer Service Facilitator, (Quality Management Consultancy, Kingston, Jamaica)
During her exciting years as one of Jamaica’s greatest edutainer, she held positions of Form Teacher, Grade Supervisor, Teacher of Drama at St. Jago High School (her alma mater); Head of Home Economics Department, Founder and facilitator of a Personal Development Programme, Acting Vice-Principal for Upper and Lower School and Human Resource Development Coordinator at Ardenne High School. This dynamic educator has also created and implemented at least twenty programmes that have benefitted many adult and young learners in Jamaica and other countries.
