Ity and Fancy Cat is arguably the hottest comedy act currently operating out of the Caribbean.
The innovate and inventive duo has captured hearts, engendered praise and evoked
uncontrollable laughter among audiences all over the world for 25 years and counting.
Born Ian Ellis and Alton Hardware respectively, Ity and Fancy Cat are unquestionably funny.
They also demonstrate amazing chemistry and an uncanny creative compatibility with a
repertoire of jokes, parodies and impersonations that is extensive, elastic and adaptable. They are
therefore an equally hilarious and consistently entertaining option no matter the event or
occasion.
The first comedians in Jamaica ever to be employed as ‘commentators’ on Jamaican television
during the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the dynamic duo has also achieved several other notable firsts
in their colourful and much travelled career. These include:
 Representing Jamaica on a special Caribbean edition of the international television series
‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?
 Breaking new barriers and opening additional doors for artistes in their by attaining the
historic honor of being the first comedy act ever, to be billed on Jamaica’s renown
international music event ‘Reggae Sumfest’
 Creating and maintaining their ground-breaking television sketch comedy project ‘The
Ity and Fancy Cat show’ which saw 10 seasons bearing over 100 episodes; a never done
feat achieved in local comedy hemisphere.
 Starring as the main characters in Jamaica’s newest sitcom called ‘Bigger Boss?’ in 2019.
 Hosting and starring in Jamaica’s newest online improvisational comedy series called ‘Laugh
OnLine’ in 2020 – 2021.

Owen Blakka Ellis is known mostly for his over three decades of work as a
comedic entertainer. He has worked all over the world as actor, musician,
comedian, motivational speaker and workshop facilitator. He has written scripts
for stage, screen and television; published two books of poetry, and taught in
several schools and colleges both in Jamaica and Canada. He is currently a senior
lecturer in the School of Arts Management and Humanities at Edna Manley
College of the Visual and Performing Arts and an adjunct lecturer at Trench Town
Polytechnic College. Ellis studied Theatre Arts and Drama Education at Edna
Manley College and Social Work at UWI. He earned his Master’s Degree in
Environmental Studies from York University in Canada, where the focus of his
scholarly work was the intersection of issues related to Gender, Culture and the
Environment. He now has his eyes set on PhD in Cultural Studies from the
University of the West Indies

Kathy Grant is the one of the hottest female comedic entertainer operating out of Jamaica.
A theatre arts graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual & performing Arts, she is an
engaging and multi-faceted performer who’s equally competent in dance, music and theatre. She
emerged as unquestionably one of the most memorable performers in the hugely popular
Jamaican television comedy ‘The Ity and Fancy Cat Show’.
Her acting versatility has been enjoyed by thousands of viewers over the tem seasons of the show
where she played several characters, with the most popular being her hilarious portrayal of the
inflexible ‘Miss Jennifer’ – the domestic helper who locked her boss out of his own home and
whose signature line is ‘Tan Deh Deh’.
She continues to perfect her craft and can be seen annually on Christmas Comedy Cook-up in
Kingston and represents Jamaica with distinction at comedy venues in North America and the
Caribbean.

Basillia Barnaby-Cuff has been in Media for over 12 years in capacities such as Radio Host, TV Presenter, Voice Over Talent/Actor, News Reporter, Producer, Writer among other capacities. She is also an event emcee, content creator and talent, speaker, public speaking coach and communications specialist.



Basillia is a Governor General I Believe Ambassador and recipient of the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence in Journalism.



She is the Founder & Director of Jamaica's ONLY national Gospel Awards show- The Sterling Gospel Music Awards, which is in its 6th year.



Basillia is the wife of Brian M. Cuff, mother of two beautiful girl, Bree’Ah-Marie & Bella- Renee, a YouTuber on her family’s channel Stuff from the Cuffs, a Social Media influencer and TikTok viral sensation.
